Cassandra Gonzalez graduated magna cum laude from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2017. Prior to her legal education, Cassandra worked in the public accounting sector for several years. She went on to receive her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2021, where she graduated manga cum laude. While at Texas Tech, Cassandra worked with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for two years, which provides free income tax assistance to qualified individuals. While at Texas Tech, she also developed an interest in Estate Planning, Probate, and Business Law.

Cassandra is licensed to practice law in Texas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Hidalgo County Bar Association and the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
